The organization is committed to advancing the private practice of consulting engineering, enhancing markets for private engineering services, educating the public on the importance of infrastructure investment, and promoting sound business practices within the industry and its client base. We are committed to aggressive involvement in legislative and public sector decision-making, with a focus on protection of qualifications-based selection of engineering services, transportation and water resources investment, expanded project delivery options, and appropriate legal and liability systems affecting the industry.

Dawn Green, P.E., | ACEC Texas Board Chair

Ms. Dawn Green, P.E., serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Texas. Dawn has been involved with ACEC Texas for many years and has served as:
- Chair of ACEC Texas Public Policy Council (PPC)
- President of the ACEC Texas San Antonio Chapter (2010-2011)
- Member of San Antonio Local PPC for 15 years
- TxDOT Rate Negotiation Task Force
- TxDOT Liaison Committee Appointed Member
- Participated in ACEC Project Management and Leadership Training
She is currently the Vice President of West Region Business Development for KCI Technologies, Inc. (KCI). In this role, she helps leverage the opportunities and growth for KCI throughout Texas and the West Region, including Nevada and Utah.
She is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Her 35 years of experience includes project management and design of a wide variety of engineering assignments, primarily focusing on large municipal projects involving paving, drainage, water and wastewater pipeline design.

- San Antonio Mobility Coalition (SAMCo),
- Greater San Antonio Chamber
- Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE)
Ms. Green is a graduate of Leadership San Antonio Class 35 and is active in several community efforts.
